This website

The site is static pages. It sets no cookies, runs no advertising, and embeds no social media trackers. The server that hosts it keeps ordinary access logs, which include IP addresses, for a short period for security and abuse purposes.

Analytics: not decided. If analytics is ever added it will be a cookieless one that does not track people across sites, and this page will say so before it goes live.

When you buy

Payment is taken by Paddle.com Market Ltd as the reseller. Your card details go to them and never reach this site or me. They collect what they need for payment and tax and are responsible for that data under their own privacy policy.

I receive from them, and keep:

• Your email address, so your key can be sent to you and re-sent if you lose it.
• The order reference and what you bought.
• The country used for tax, which they determine, not me.

That record is kept for as long as the licence is valid, plus whatever period tax law requires: not set.

When you activate the plug-in

Activating or re-checking a licence sends the licence server:

• Your licence key.
• A machine fingerprint: a one-way hash built from identifiers on your computer. It cannot be turned back into those identifiers, and it identifies the machine only in order to count activations.
• The plug-in version and which host application it is running in.
• Your IP address, unavoidably, because it is an internet request.

It does not send, and cannot send:

• Your footage, frames, project file or timeline.
• File names or folder paths.
• Your name, your email address or anything you typed into Resolve.

Activation records are kept while the licence is active so that activations can be counted and released. Server request logs are kept for not set and then deleted.

The log file on your computer

The plug-in can write a diagnostic log, but only if you create thedebug_log file yourself. That log stays on your computer. It is sent nowhere unless you attach it to an email to me, and if you do, it is deleted once the problem is solved.

Who else sees anything

• Paddle.com Market Ltd — payment, invoicing and tax.
• The hosting and licence-server provider, which stores the data described above.
• The email provider that delivers your licence key.

Nothing is sold, rented or shared for advertising. There is no mailing list you are added to without asking.

Your rights

You can ask what is held about you, ask for it to be corrected, or ask for it to be deleted. Deleting your record also cancels the licence tied to it, so it cannot be re-sent afterwards. Write to support@balltracerplugin.com and you will get an answer within 2 business days.
